Station Manager

Station Managers are responsible for the management and administration of one or more fire stations.  They lead the team of Firefighters, Crew Managers and Watch Managers, taking responsibility for:

  • Managing resources
  • Staff development
  • Working with outside organisations e.g. safety education
  • Providing information to the Senior Management Team (SMT) e.g. detailed reports on incidents

Station Managers take charge at larger incidents, such as large fires and collisions involving several vehicles.

Station Managers (Control)

Station Managers (Control) are responsible for the management and administration of Control.  They lead the team of Firefighters (Control), Crew Managers (Control) and Watch Managers (Control), taking responsibility for:

  • Managing resources
  • Staff development
  • Working with outside organisations e.g. other emergency services and agencies

Providing information to the Senior Management Team (SMT) e.g. detailed reports on incidents.
